Review by Lucie Tůmová

Jeff Beck’s Tallyman is a classic album that showcases the legendary guitarist’s virtuosity and versatility. Released in 1967, this album features a variety of styles, from blues and rock to jazz and pop.

One of the standout tracks on Tallyman is the title track, which features Beck’s signature guitar riffs and a catchy chorus. Another highlight is “Hi Ho Silver Lining,” a pop-rock classic that has become a staple of classic rock radio stations.

Beck’s guitar playing is the star of the show on Tallyman. His virtuosity is on full display throughout the album, whether he’s playing a slow blues or a fast-paced rock song. His use of distortion and feedback adds an edge to the music that is both raw and powerful.

The album also features some impressive guest musicians, including Rod Stewart on vocals and Nicky Hopkins on piano. Their contributions add depth and texture to the music, making Tallyman a complete and cohesive album.

OK you older guys, try singing it in the key of C (as it is here) LOL! I sang it at a jam recently, did it in the key of G, but can do it in A or B at the highest. I doubt very much even Rod could now do it today in C!

IMO, Jeff Back is the greatest rock guitarist of all time. And Rod 'the mod' Stewart is second only to Steve Marriott on vocals.
