Jack Matthew Tyson's album 3638 is a masterful blend of folk, rock, and Americana. The album is a reflection of the artist's personal journey and experiences, and it showcases his talent as a songwriter, musician, and vocalist.

The album features ten tracks, each with its own unique sound and style. From the soaring melodies of "On the Run" to the haunting balladry of "Gone," the album is a journey through the emotions and experiences of life.

Notes

  • Sleeve pic and additional ideas by Linda Dreesen.
  • These four tracks are all filed under (new) New Beat, but the actual styles vary.
  • • Anesthetic Sleep runs at 115 bpm and is quite melodic.
  • • Intermittent Latex Club has a rhythm of 116 bpm and is somewhat monotone with a slight spooky atmosphere.
  • • Title track "Three Six Three Eight" (114 bpm) is for the headstrong, a stomping kick and a weird squeaky, but vivacious main theme. The device providing this glaring, high-pitched sound was the provenance of its title... Questions? Well... ask away or search for it!
  • • Spectral on its turn has a strange temper. The unusual sound of a shakuhachi hooks well on the modulating bass line. Tempo: 116 bpm.

About Jack Matthew Tyson

Jack Matthew Tyson was born in the north of Belgium and was influenced musically by his siblings but got most of his interest in electronics when it came to music. This project generated a cassette containing 11 experimental tracks, made for friends only. The late eighties were dominated by the genre New Beat which inspired him to take making music a bit more seriously but it lasted until the nineties, after teaming up with when a successful demo was made which lead to a first official release by the name . Releases on Jumper Records followed (TS Mason, DJ Peavey Blaster and others) and several years later a New Beat revival tickled him to relaunch his attempts to generate tunes in this genre.
